Friday July 31
Barstow, California to
Riverside - 85 miles
We left Barstow at 8:30 am
and headed toward Victorville via US 66 routes.
On the way to Victorville,
Bob Bergan found out that he had a problem with his motorcycle. We
all came to the Harley-Davidson store and then to California Route 66
Museum, the home too many relics of 66. Upon our return to
Harley-Davidson store we learned that Bob's bike had to be left behind
for service. He rode in Roy Cruz's car with his stuff to continue
the US 66 with us.
By lunch time we dined at
the Summit Inn at the top of Cajon Pass. This place had lots of cool
"stuff" to admire.
By 5 pm we were greeted by
Mal Grossinger (new superintendent) at CSDR and led us around the new
construction of the school.
By 6 pm we were rushed to a
plaza for dinner before we headed to Lake Alice Trading Company for
social night gathering. It was located on University Ave where we
stayed overnight at the Motel 6 nearby.
One more day of travel by
motorcycle to the end of US 66 tomorrow! Good night! Bobby Skedsmo |

We are the museum freaks!

With a big honor, Mal Grossinger, CSDR Superintendent
warmly welcomed our group at CSDR.
