Wednesday July 29
Laughlin, Nevada - 0 mile
Our full day of leisure
time! Gave our motorcycles a well-deserved rest! The bikers
went their own about Laughlin.
US 66 route was fueled by
nostalgia and fired by preservation-minded folks; it was a magical cross
section of the nation. No wonder they called it as the Mother Road
of the Nation. The old US 66 route was expected to fade into history like the Oregon Trail, but we are grateful to each local community for restoration of the old road. What a surprising comeback! It is still going strong. Bobby Skedsmo |

An extra day at Laughlin, NV helped us to cool our bodies from
the heat
wave.

At the cozy sports bar, Bobby Skedsmo proposed the
directions
on Route 66 from Laughlin, NV to Barstow, CA; we accepted.
