Thursday July 23
Tulsa, Oklahoma to Oklahoma
City - 107 miles
First thing in the morning
we had a news cameraman in for media report. In the meantime we
were provided by the deaf community service with some pastries and
drinks.
Five more bikers joined us
from Oklahoma. We stopped at Harley-Davidson store just to browse
and “T” Town where they sell leather stuff. For lunch we
stopped where over 500 different sodas are offered for drink and then
visited the red "Round Barn" built in Arcadia.
We arrived at Oklahoma City
around 3 pm. The bikers of Oklahoma guided us through the city.
We were moved by the National Memorial & Museum remembering the bombing
of the federal building in April 1995.
By nightfall we came to a
popular bar and grill for our dining pleasure at the historic Bricktown
district. Some of us took a taxi boat going around the city for a
half hour. It was a breathtaking and inviting atmosphere. Bobby Skedsmo |
